Lesson From A Caterpillar

This summer, while vacationing just outside Maine’s Acadia National Park

I got to share the sunrise with a happy little caterpillar that was crossing our second-story railing. Any misstep or pause to look to where they had come from, would jeapardize their forward trajectory.

How different our species are. Risk of fumble and trepidation would send our human hearts a flutter to the point of ill defeat. But not the caterpillar with their firm methodic gait.

This small individual illustrates what happens when you find a way to stay grounded amidst risk—often by pure ambition and trust in your direction is all it takes to keep moving forward. If  you realize you’re going the wrong way STOP. Trust your intuition, turn in another direction, and go full force ahead.

Today’s affirmations:

Easy-does-it

I embrace my path.
